sailor senshi fanart

well, I was cleaning my computer and I found this picture.

This is a fan art that I did of Aino Minako from Sailormoon and lead character from Sailor V. Granted that this was drawn back in November I still felt like sharing. I drew this after b-ville and I saw this website mainly for Anime fanarts and saw that the girls that created the site did nothing but trace screen shots. So during my afternoon tea outing with my mom, I thought that I'll give it a try to see how much closer to the original Naoko's art I can do free hand. The drawing is done with a black micron pen on a piece of napkin. I don't think that I lost my touch in drawing fan art but of course nothing is better than the original artist.

To this day Sailormoon is still my idol!

So much for finding a new hobby..

My roomie said that I should find a new hobby aside from drawing since all I do is sit in front of my comp with my Wacom. If I'm not sitting at the computer I have my sketchbook with me and my Cutie Puppy pencil box. So I went to see what I can do but in turn I did this:

So much for finding a new hobby!

(Oh this is the back from a 2009 calendar that I didn't like the pictures of, it's a collection of all the past MHK contestants )

These are two sample artworks that I had to create for a freelance job.  I do hope that I will get it.

cool, I can draw.

Last night before bed I found a couple of job postings of craiglists. Today I decided to test out my luck and I got one reply for a children's illustration book. It's really motivating when I got the email. I still have to do 2 "test" illustrations before the writer decides on the artist he is going ot use. Hopefully I will be able to get it. Pay or not, it's just nice to have this chance.

GREAT NEWS: My illustration got accepted for the Alluring Lines book! And I just found out that they extended the deadline, so maybe I will be able to create more work!
